Chef Greg Barnes started Simply Good Food Catering Company in 2000 after having worked at such places as San Francicso’s Bizou, Stars, and Rubicon restaurants.
Chef Barnes developed his extensive pastry and dessert skills at Bizou, before becoming the Sous Chef at the Boonville Hotel and Restaurant. He mastered the roadhouse menu as Executive Chef at the Fifes Resort in Guerneville.
Greg Barnes' personable and charming skills in waiting, hosting, and every aspect of food service ensures your catered event will shine. Greg Barnes received a 3-star critical review from San Francisco Chronicle's Michael Bauer while working as waiter at Zazu. He has worked in several of Cindy Paulson's restaurants and events, including St. Helena's Mira Monte.

John Scharffenberger, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mondavi, Thomas Bartlett, Don and Sally Schmitt, Michele-Schlumberger Winery, and the Bohemian Grove have all called on Caterer Greg Barnes to assist with their culinary adventures.
He has traveled and cooked in Morocco, West Europe, and Thailand.
